The Park features historical buildings, costumed interpreters, working antiques, and various exhibits that provide insight into the region's past.Job OverviewUnder the overall direction of the Transportation Manager operates Heritage Park's bus to transport staff, designated guests and articles within the Park as well as maintain it in a safe and clean condition.ResponsibilitiesBus OperationSafely transport designated persons within the Park, adhering to schedules and driving routes as required, while maintaining awareness of unique conditions such as the presence of horsesProvide specialized care and attention when transporting seniors and guests with special needsOffer exceptional customer service and information to visitors in a courteous and friendly mannerOperate Heritage Park's bus responsibly,

and a focus on long-term benefits for the organization and its stakeholdersRequired QualificationsPrevious experience operating a passenger vehicleA valid class 1, 2 or 4 driver's license is required (current driver’s abstract required on an annual basis)Commercial Driver’s Abstract is requiredAir Brakes Endorsement is an assetPossession of a valid Standard First Aid Level C CPR/AED certification is required; certification canbe obtained upon employmentDemonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills in a client-faced settingCandidates are required to submit their work experience history and employment verification from the past 3 years’All successful candidates (over 18) will be required to undergo a Police Information Check as a condition of employment.Special Clothing and EquipmentUniform and safety equipment will be provided by Heritage Park; andThe employee will provide footwear, as designated by the Heritage Park Costume Department.Special Working ConditionsThe position will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures; andThis position is physically demanding, and the incumbent must be able to lift heavy items and stand for long periods of time.Hours of WorkVarious scheduled hours of work, including weekends, statutory holidays, fluctuating hours and overtime as required.Under the Province of Alberta Traffic Safety Act, employees are required to adhere to guidelines regarding hours of work and rest; Employees are required to log their hours and report hours worked driving for other organizations to ensure compliance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
