Position SummaryThe Junior Door Manufacturing Carpenter supports the accurate assembly and production of interior and exterior door systems under the guidance of experienced team members. Using machines, power tools, and hand tools, this role involves assisting with measuring and cutting door slabs and jambs, drilling and cutting out hinges, and re-blocking doors where necessary. The ideal candidate is eager to learn the trade, demonstrates a solid work ethic and attention to detail, and shows a commitment to developing quality craftsmanship. Success in this position requires a willingness to follow direction, maintain a clean and organized shop, communicate clearly with supervisors, and contribute positively to the Door Department team.Performance ObjectivesAssist in the production and manufacture of doors according to work orders using machines, power tools, and hand tools under the supervision of experienced team membersReview work orders with supervisor guidance prior to beginning production to ensure necessary information and materials are includedInstall door slabs in door jamb with precision and careMeasure and cut down door slabs and jamb, drill and cut out hinges, re-block doors where necessaryAdvise supervisor of inventory or other product and production concernsKeep door shop clean and well organizedEnsure proper maintenance is performed on machinery in door shopContribute to improving efficiencies in the Door DepartmentAssume other duties as assigned by managementCapabilities/Key CompetenciesBasic familiarity with or willingness to learn machines, power tools,
