Covenant House Vancouver is seeking dedicated Youth Workers to join their Crisis Program team. In this meaningful role, you will connect with vulnerable youth, providing essential resources and supporting their transition to self-sufficiency. The role demands resilience and excellent interpersonal skills as you interact daily with youth experiencing significant challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and assess youth accessing CHV services
• Develop and maintain trusting relationships with youth
• Introduce services and assist with program intake
• Work with staff to set attainable youth goals
• Coordinate activities and respond to emergencies
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in social service preferred
• Experience in a similar role is an asset
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
