At AgeCare, the Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care according to established medical protocols. You will collaborate with Registered Nurses, engage with physicians, and direct Personal Support Workers to ensure quality care for residents. This role allows you to actively participate in shaping care procedures and supporting resident health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and adhere to AgeCare policies and procedures
• Communicate changes in resident status promptly to physicians
• Direct Personal Support Workers and manage care team activities
• Collaborate with health care teams for effective resident care
• Participate in shift report to update care team on resident conditions
Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Knowledge of geriatric care and long-term health regulations
• Experience in rehabilitation or nursing administration
• Strong understanding of relevant health care acts
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse health care environment
