Your Opportunity: Network & Telecom Services provides supports for a complex multi-site, multi-vendor environment committed to improving healthcare for Albertans and is looking for a Technical Lead in Network Cybersecurity. We are seeking an individual with extensive technical expertise and experience in Network technologies, complemented by excellent communication and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate is highly cooperative, has a strong understanding and experience in Network Security, and is committed to achieving success individually and as part of a team.The Technical Lead - Network Cybersecurity is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and implementation of network security technologies. This role provides leadership to a team of network specialists, ensuring the security of network infrastructure and developing procedures to mitigate risks. The successful candidate will work beside a highly skilled multi-disciplinary group and will contribute by having extensive expertise in Firewall management, Network Access Control, and DNS Security. Not ApplicableRequired QualificationsThe successful candidate will demonstrate robust organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with specialized technical team members. The role includes contributing to the development of standard operating procedures for departmental use, working closely with technical staff to ensure processes are clear, repeatable, and aligned with operational realities. Solid stakeholder engagement skills are critical, including the ability to facilitate both one-on-one and group discussions. This includes the ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources, distinguish stated requirements from underlying business needs, and clearly communicate requirements to stakeholders and implementation teams.Additional Required QualificationsCompletion of a post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent level of education and experience.Minimum +10 years of work-related experience in a large/complex enterprise IT Environment.Effective communication and organizational skills.Ability to work in a high-pressure workplace and adapt to change.Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis as required.Expert level knowledge and experience in Network Cybersecurity.Experience working in a large health care environment.Ability to analyze operational and financial data to identify efficiencies and continuous improvement opportunities.Preferred QualificationsFortinet Firewall management experience and certifications.Netscaler Load Balancers Experience.Infoblox DDI and DNS Security Experience.Forescout Network Access Control Experience.Programming experience relating to NetOps.Experience with Cisco Network Technologies.CISSP, CCSA, GIAC, GSE, CEH, CIW or CCSP certification.Valid Driver’s License.#J-18808-Ljbffr
