Delivering approximately 2500 days of simultaneous event coverage annually, Odyssey supports private and public clients as they host events ranging in size, scale and complexity. Backed by credentialed and fully insured multidisciplinary response teams, Odyssey administers front-line patient care and programs across a range of events such as marathons, cycling races, obstacle and adventure courses, mass-gathering concerts and festivals, stadium-based events and community-focused celebrations. Additionally, Odyssey has experience supporting established venues such as nightclubs and film & TV sets with medical team coverage on a year-round basis. Odyssey has an established Medical Direction and symptom relief program to support first responders, medics, and advanced medical team practitioners in providing efficient, discreet and exceptional care.RequirementsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:We are currently recruitingDispatchersat events nationwide. If you’re interested in joining the Dispatch team, we’d love to hear from you!The Event Emergency Dispatcher is responsible for controlling and coordinating medical response during live events. Operating within the Unified Command Centre (UCC), the Dispatcher receives calls for service, assigns field resources, tracks unit status,



and ensures accurate documentation of all incidents.This is a high-responsibility operational role. Dispatchers are expected to think clearly under pressure, communicate decisively, and maintain system discipline throughout the lifecycle of every call. The position is best suited to individuals who perform well in structured, fast-paced environments and who take ownership of operational clarity.What You’ll Be Accountable ForAs an Event Emergency Dispatcher, your focus will include:Live Dispatch ExecutionManaging calls from intake through closure with accuracy and control.Assigning and tracking resources to maintain effective coverage.Communication & ControlMaintaining calm, concise radio and internal communications.Documentation & IntegrityEntering complete and accurate call records in the dispatch system.Preserving audit-ready documentation and professional reporting standards.Situational Awareness & EscalationMonitoring operational tempo and identifying emerging risks.Escalating critical incidents appropriately to leadership.What “Good” Looks Like in This RoleThe dispatch board reflects real‑world activity at all times.Crews operate with clarity and minimal confusion.Critical incidents are escalated appropriately and efficiently.Documentation is complete, accurate, and defensible.The room remains calm, structured, and controlled—even during peak activity.Who You AreYou are composed, detail-oriented, and comfortable making decisions in real time.
