Become the strategic leader of the George Gordon First Nation as the Director of Operations, guiding governance and community growth. Partner with Chief and Council to align initiatives with cultural principles.
This role is essential for shaping the future direction of the George Gordon First Nation. You will collaborate on strategic planning, manage finances, and oversee community programs and services. Building strong relationships with community members and advocating representatively are key to the Director’s responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide crucial leadership and strategic direction for GGFN
• Develop and implement plans with Chief and Council
• Oversee and guide the senior management team
• Manage budget development and financial oversight processes
• Foster community involvement through regular communications
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent experience
• Proven senior leadership experience in First Nation contexts
• Deep knowledge of Indigenous governance and traditions
• Solid financial and management skills
• Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities
