Play a crucial role in student development as a Counsellor at Stitó:s Lá:lém Totí:lt Elementary/Middle School. Focus on mental health and social-emotional learning in a collaborative environment.
This part-time, temporary position spans every Monday, starting September 1, 2026. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree and robust experience in behaviour support and counselling practices. You will collaborate closely with classroom teachers and families while implementing evidence-based SEL programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and assess Functional Behaviour Assessments
• Collaborate on CBIEPs with educational teams
• Lead workshops on trauma-informed behaviour support
• Facilitate SEL programs across school settings
• Support students' emotional and academic transitions
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in counselling or similar discipline
• Knowledge of RTI framework for student support
• Proven ability to develop inclusive learning environments
• Familiarity with community support services
• Committed to ongoing qualified learning
