This Registered Nurse role focuses on providing patient-centered care in an acute surgical unit for orthopedic and general surgery patients. You’ll leverage your critical thinking and excellent communication skills to ensure patient safety and quality care. Taking on leadership responsibilities and participating in quality initiatives will be essential parts of your role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and documentation
• Deliver safe medication administration and patient education
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
• Assist in quality improvement projects and initiatives
• Support the charge nurse in a leadership capacity
Requirements:
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program
• Registration eligibility with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• BCLS certification required
• Pass medication calculations exam within 14 days
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
