The Department of Nursing Foundations and Science in the Faculty of Nursing invites applications for sessional faculty members to teach anatomy, physiology, and microbiology courses across nursing programs, starting in Fall 2026.
The Faculty of Nursing delivers excellent nursing education across four academic Departments and collectively offers various credentials including Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing, Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing. The Department of Nursing Foundations and Science delivers courses that form the basis for nursing practice and those which are rooted in science (e.g. anatomy, physiology, pharmacology). Specific courses expose students to building blocks of evidence-based care, the profession of nursing and introductory nursing for those with changes in health and wellness.
For this specific opportunity you would be teaching in-person lectures and/or online courses with some potential online sections, as needed. Successful candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, a student-centered approach to learning, and a solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology from an applied health perspective.
You must have a graduate degree (PhD preferred) in an applicable area of expertise with demonstrated teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education.
