Join Vale Base Metals as a Health, Safety, Environment & Risk Advisor and promote a culture of safety at the Voisey’s Bay Mine Site. This role reports to the HSER team and focuses on sustainable mining practices.

As a part of the HSER team, this 12-month fixed-term position involves a two-week on/off schedule, allowing you to leverage your safety experience in an underground mining environment. You'll monitor compliance with health and safety regulations while developing and refining the HSER management systems. Engage with teams to reinforce the commitment to zero fatalities and enhance overall safety strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Guide VNL to compliance with industry best practices
• Implement and audit HSER Management System components




• Develop reporting on HSER initiatives and compliance
• Mentor and coach colleagues on safety protocols
• Conduct field inspections and audits of management systems

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a safety-related field
• 5 years of safety experience, ideally in mining
• Certification in Occupational Health & Safety required
• Solid knowledge of regulatory acts and safety standards
• Proven ability to influence and self-manage tasks
