Join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Consultant in General Surgery at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This position offers engagement in comprehensive surgical care and education opportunities for junior staff.

We are looking for an experienced Consultant to join our General Surgery unit at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The role includes providing elective general surgery, managing acute cases, and supporting the evolution of our surgical services. Additionally, participation in medical education and fulfilling a range of administrative tasks is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver elective surgical services to patients
• Respond to and manage acute surgical emergencies
• Train and supervise junior surgical staff




• Handle necessary administrative responsibilities
• Educate undergraduate students and trainee surgeons

Requirements:
• Full GMC registration and eligibility for Specialist Register
• Proven record of Higher Specialist Training leading to CCT
• Internationally trained candidates must provide equivalent documentation
• Involvement in surgical teaching is vital
• Participation in the rotational on-call schedule
