In this role, you'll support the Environmental Protection Safety and Control Area at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. Your tasks include conducting compliance activities, technical assessments, and engagement with external stakeholders like Indigenous communities. This position demands a robust commitment to environmental protection practices and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments of licensees’ environmental programs
• Participate in desktop reviews and environmental inspections
• Support CNSC’s Independent Environmental Monitoring Program
• Facilitate communications with public and governmental organizations
• Advise on regulatory documents and processes
Requirements:
• University degree in environmental science or engineering
• Proven experience in auditing or developing environmental programs
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Knowledge of Indigenous engagement principles
• Ability to analyze environmental performance data
