NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a passionate Healthcare Support Worker to enhance patient care in Glasgow's Emergency and Minor Injury Units. This hands-on role involves direct patient support and vital clinical tasks.
You will be part of a team-oriented team focused on delivering exceptional care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include undertaking treatment tasks like ECGs and venepuncture, assisting responsive patient care, and maintaining safety standards. The post requires previous Band 3 level experience, ensuring you are well-prepared for the demands of the position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with medical treatments in Minor Injury Units
• Monitor and document patient vital signs
• Conduct ECGs and assist in venepuncture
• Prepare treatment areas and manage supplies
• Support patients with personal care and mobility needs
Requirements:
• Experience at Band 3 level in healthcare
• Familiarity with Emergency and Minor Injury care
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Willingness to train and develop skills
• Commitment to NHS values and patient dignity
