Daily Responsibilities :
The designer will support Client 360 product owners, their agile squads, and the Client 360 program, as follows:
Consult with Client 360 product owners and their relevant partners on an ongoing basis to discuss new and upcoming features on the Client 360 roadmap, brainstorm, sketch and iterate on potential UX solutions
Plan usability testing on design proposals as needed
Work with product owners, tech leads, business analysts and other relevant stakeholders to scope design activities, collect business and functional requirements, establish timelines for delivery of prototypes and ready for dev files, and plan usability testing;
Create design concepts and prototypes in Figma, using elements from the Salesforce Lightning Design System, review concepts with product owners and collect feedback to iterate;
Conduct moderated or unmoderated usability testing as needed to validate design hypotheses; and conduct end-to-end test process, including:
2. creating test scripts and launching unmoderated research studies in banks test platform;
3. scheduling and conducting moderated usability testing with banks advisors;
4. synthesizing and analyzing test data;
5. creating and presenting test reports, and discussing design recommendations with POs and other relevant stakeholders;
Deliver design concepts and appropriately documented ready-for-dev files in Figma to Client 360 squads, to support build and release of Client 360 features and enhancements.
What will you do?
Interaction designers shape the experiences we create through each of our digital products. You'll work within an agile environment and iterative process, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders to analyze, design and convey your design vision. A natural problem solver, communicator and facilitator, you'll be involved in every step of the process from idea generation to implementation.
What you would work on
Understand user interface patterns and behaviours,
and use that understanding to drive user comprehension, and improve task performance
Use visualizations and interactions to support analytic thinking with large data sets
Facilitate design critique, evaluate interactions for inclusivity and provide expert advice and guidance to cross-functional teams
Facilitate ideation sessions and collaborative work activities
Act as the interaction design subject-matter expert for the product design team
Use a comprehensive understanding of interaction design theory, research data and best practices to inform design decisions
Design artifacts of high complexity to communicate task flows, touchpoints, behaviours, and the exchange of information
Create complex low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate ideas.
Create complex prototypes to provide delivery specifications for development
Present interaction design work to more senior stakeholders
Research and Testing
Facilitate usability testing
Participate in or initiate research activities
Research interaction design strategies in the financial services sector and perform competitive audits pertinent to specific design or business goals
Perform pattern, micro-interaction and component design audits where appropriate
What program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role?
Figma will be used the majority of the time, we also use Mural.
Must-have Skills:
The key skills for the designer include:
Substantial experience designing for complex organizational workflow on the Salesforce platform, and within the constraints dictated by this platform (must-have)
Expertise in use of Figma to:
1.
build design concepts using design system elements and components
2. create complex prototypes (including use of variants and variables to enhance prototype quality and interactivity)
Planning and conducting usability testing using Figma prototypes
Independently scoping and estimating design and usability testing activities to meet competing priorities and deadlines set by squad product owners
Knowledge of and some experience in (ideally no less than 6-12 months) designing for Salesforce
BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms
Experience in an applied research setting including experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices
Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rational and logic; describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions
Demonstrated expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, UserTesting.com
Nice-to-have Skills:
Salesforce certification as either
1. User Experience Designer or
MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field
Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase
Appreciation for the potential of 'design thinking'
Experience working within a large organization and within an agile workplace
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to collaborate with other designers and cross-functional team members, ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships. Experience in facilitating workshops is a nice to have.
