Contribute to the educational landscape as the Access to Practical Nursing Coordinator at North Island College’s Port Alberni campus. Support programming excellence and community engagement.
The role encompasses essential responsibilities in leadership and program management within Health and Human Services. You will work collaboratively with faculty and community stakeholders to foster program development, enhance student services, and ensure that offerings remain relevant to regional needs. This sessional position requires a proactive approach to educational challenges and supports pathways for under-represented learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage program delivery and development initiatives
• Engage in community assessment for program relevance
• Coordinate with faculty on instructional practices
• Conduct recruitment and retention strategies for students
• Support a positive educational workplace for all stakeholders
Requirements:
• Relevant Master’s degree in Health and Human Services
• Three years’ experience in post-secondary education
• demonstrated ability to develop educational programs
• Familiarity with Indigenous and inclusive education practices
• Strong leadership and communication skills
