Today, we are setting the benchmark across every tire and travel-related services market, while leading a global strategy to drive sustainable, profitable growth.Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., which employs 4,000 people and operates three tire manufacturing facilities in Nova Scotia is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our Pictou County team as an Injury Prevention Specialist.The Opportunity:The Injury Prevention Specialist will lead progress in the plant related to injury prevention, and manage occupational medical center and staff. This role requires a proactive approach to injury prevention and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and health.What you will do:manage the operation of the on-site medical staff and center;assess musculoskeletal injuries for work-related incidents and consult as needed for non-work related injuries;monitor injury trends and recommend actions to reduce risk;complete shop floor assessments;provide recommendations for accommodations;employee education;meeting with patients to assess what their physical challenges are and deciding on suitable treatment programs;monitoring the progress of patients and adjust or change treatments as needed;collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and general practitioners and refer patients as needed;updating and maintaining accurate patient case notes and reports;staying up to date regarding recent physiotherapy technologies and techniques;initiating and participating in evidence-based projects to improve the quality of patient care;provide input on projects related to ergonomic improvements; and,aligning with government physiotherapy regulations.What you will bring:Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy;current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association;previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment; and,2-5 years of clinical experience.How to apply:Candidates should clearly indicate how they meet the requirements listed above in their applications.
