This role is vital in ensuring individuals facing mental health challenges receive critical services. As part of the Community Outreach and Support Team (COAST), you'll utilize your expertise to conduct outreach assessments, handle crisis calls, and collaborate with community partners. Your experience in crisis intervention will help provide effective support and prevent further crises while encouraging recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide mobile outreach assessments for mental health crises
• Respond to urgent telephone crisis support calls
• Assist in developing crisis prevention strategies
• Collaborate with community agencies and police
• Support family members managing psychiatric crises
Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field
• 5 years in crisis/community mental health
• Registered in positive standing with applicable body
• Certified in crisis intervention and first aid
• Access to a reliable personal vehicle
