The HR Manager & Workforce Planner is responsible for leading and administering Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nations human resource functions while supporting long‑term workforce development. The position oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR policies, personnel records, compensation reviews, job descriptions, training, and organizational planning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.

Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and compliance standards.

Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on workplace matters and conflict resolution.

Coordinate staffing, succession planning and organizational growth.

Identify current and future workforce skill gaps.





Develop training pathways and employment-readiness initiatives for Nation members.

Work with Indigenous partners and educational institutions to coordinate training and employment opportunities.

Track training, certifications and employment outcomes.

Support funding applications, proposals and workforce partnerships.

Maintain confidential HR records and personnel files.

Coordinate orientation, career development and mandatory training.

Ensure HR and workforce initiatives reflect PRNFN values and community priorities.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered. Requires 8-13 years of progressive HR experience. Workforce planning, training coordination and Indigenous partnership experience are assets. Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices required. Must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, satisfactory abstract, CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check.
