College Professor – CommunicationsPosition: College Professor – Communications (Part‑time Term). Term: Fall 2026 – Winter 2027. Locations: Vernon, Kelowna, Penticton. Three vacancies are available.ResponsibilitiesDesign and teach courses with a student‑centered learning philosophy.Prepare and revise courses, develop learning materials, and evaluate student work.Deliver instruction in lecture, discussion, active engagement, and laboratory settings, including online and multi‑access modalities.Provide advising and supervision to students both inside and outside of class.Engage in career development activities to maintain and advance subject‑area competence.Participate in service activities such as committee membership, community outreach, and representation of Okanagan College at external events.Carry out scholarly research and creative activities, and may be released from instructional duties to pursue scholarship.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Communications or a related discipline (PhD preferred).Graduate‑level training enabling sole responsibility for teaching undergraduate students.Experience teaching at the post‑secondary level and a demonstrated learner‑centered teaching philosophy.Active scholarship, research,
