Serving Edmonton and area since 1986.Position Summary :CSN Tristar Collision is looking for an Auto Body Technician to join our team. The Auto Body Technician must be able to repair or restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The candidate should be detail-oriented and capable of multitasking to accommodate shifting priorities.Primary Objectives of the Auto Body (Collision Repair) Technician :Review damage reports and estimates of repair costs, and plan work accordingly.Examine collision damage thoroughly, inspect all exterior body parts, check power accessories, and ensure no warning lights are on.Perform structural and complete body repairs, including replacing front end components, body parts, doors, frames, and underbody components.Straighten bent frames using frame pulling equipment,



hammer out dents and defects.Weld on vehicles using MIG welders and spot welders.Disassemble damaged vehicle areas to identify hidden damages early in the repair process.File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces; mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting; apply primers andrepaint surfaces.Operate soldering equipment or use plastic fillers to repair holes and seams.Restore vehicles to factory / OEM specifications.Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for proper handling.Read and understand repair estimates and procedures.Work with various metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical parts.Use frame and measuring equipment, and perform disassembly and reassembly of vehicles.Follow standardized production processes and represent CSN professionally.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsAt least 3+ years of auto body repair and refinishing experience.Preferably with I-Car and OEM certifications; welding certification is a plus.Ability to lift 100 lbs, stand, sit, walk, reach, and work safely with tools and equipment.Valid driver’s license and own tools and safety footwear.BenefitsFull advantages : health, dental, medical.ScheduleMonday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.CSN is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
