Manager is accountable for the overall programming and leadership of strategic and quality improvement initiatives for the program.The principal responsibilities include:Managing and oversite of program projects, ensuring their successful planning, implementation and ongoing operationManaging and overseeing quality improvement initiatives and programming within the programOverseeing governance and committee structure reporting throughout KBIPlanning strategic initiatives that will advance the goals and objectives of the programApplying collaborative leadership in working in close partnerships with medical and clinical leaders of the program without direct oversightCollaborating with leadership to support decision making and present detailed analysis/modelling that improves business effectiveness and operational efficiencyCo-Chair committees, as requiredPerforming other corporate management responsibilitiesPerforming cross-functional duties, as assigned or requested; performing other dutiesconsistent with the job classification, as requiredQualificationsCompletion of a recognized Masters degree in Business Administration or Health AdministrationTen (10) years experience required, five (5) of which in a management capacityExperience working with personnel at senior levels including presenting and sharing information and making decisionsExperience working in a hospital environment preferredExperience working in and/or knowledge of neurosciences an assetExcellent management and strategic planning skillsExcellent problem recognition and problem solving-skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to use good judgment in assessing difficult situationsAbility to take a creative and proactive approach to problem recognition, solving and conflict resolutionAbility to work in a self-directed mannerAbility to work effectively as a team memberAbility to work well under pressureDemonstrated commitment to continuing educationAdditional InformationIn addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
