Job Summary: At GFL, our AZ Drivers do more than transport materials—they represent our commitment to safety, efficiency, and reliability. In this key role, you will operate various straight truck and tractor-trailer combinations to support our Soil Division. You will be responsible for completing routes North of Sault Ste.Marie, including winter driving to mine sites, as well as managing cross-border runs, ensuring we continue to serve our customers safely and efficiently.

Requirements: Licensing: Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
Driving Experience: Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience.
Equipment Operation: Demonstrated experience with dump trucks, walking floors, heavy/over-sized loads, flat decks, and float transportation.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to daily changes in project assignments and work weekends or nights when required.
Safety Commitment: Ability to successfully satisfy all company standards for safety-sensitive operational roles.
Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit to succeed in the position.
Responsibilities: Safe Fleet Operation: Operate various straight truck and tractor-trailer combinations, including Roll-Off truck and pup combinations, to support the Soil Division.
Route Execution: Complete routes North of Sault Ste.Marie, including winter operations on Highway 17 N to service the Westdome Gold Mine location on Paint Lake Rd.
Cross-Border Travel:
Complete daily AZ runs to Michigan (Traverse City and Dafter, MI) as required.
Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough electronic driving logbook entries and daily inspections of assigned assets.
Reporting & Maintenance: Perform end-of-day driver check-ins to ensure complete and accurate paperwork; promptly report any route hazards or safety incidents to Route Supervisors.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure service is completed in strict accordance with contract obligations, traffic laws, and GFL’s "Safe For Life" practices.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors to ensure routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
Additional Duties: Perform other operational duties, including dump truck and walking floor operations, as assigned by leadership.
