Exciting prospect for a General Practitioner specializing in oncology with UHN at Princess Margaret Hospital. This role, focused on pediatric cancer survivors, ensures care that addresses various post-treatment challenges.
In this permanent part-time role, you will work in a Survivorship Clinic, engaging with young survivors to improve their overall quality of life. Your expertise will help address challenges like depression and self-esteem, while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team to provide informative follow-ups and surveillance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct weekly Survivor Clinic sessions for pediatric patients
• Create and implement follow-up care decisions
• Report findings to primary care physicians
• Manage investigations and refer to specialists as needed
• Engage with the SickKids Aftercare Team for integrated support
Requirements:
• Active medical license in Ontario, CPSO status
• Strong background in cancer and acute care
• Passion for supporting pediatric patients and their families
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in teams
• Organizational skills in a bustling clinic setting
