The City of Kelowna is looking for a Financial Analyst who will bring their expertise to Corporate Finance and city business units. Responsibilities include financial analysis and reporting, overseeing reconciliations, and addressing accounting issues. You will apply your leadership and analytical skills to improve financial systems and processes while supporting internal audits and managing project work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to departments
• Supervise reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies




• Enhance internal controls and financial processes
• Lead financial system improvements and audits
• Coordinate projects within the financial operations team

Requirements:
• CPA (Chartered Skilled Accountant) designation is essential
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting experience
• At least two years at Accountant level or above
• Preferrable familiarity with AP and payroll systems
• Understanding of Public Sector Accounting Standards
