This full-time position, based primarily at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, emphasizes collaboration with pathologists and the training of future medical professionals. You will be responsible for gross examinations, autopsy assistance, and project contributions, all while working with a diverse range of specimens from complex surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute gross examinations of biopsy and surgical specimens
• Assist in performing and preparing for autopsies
• Document findings and support educational initiatives
• Contribute to quality control and improvement efforts
• Work across multiple sites to enhance patient care
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Pathologists' Assistant or equivalent experience
• Active or eligible CCCPA certification required
• Recent experience in grossing and autopsy practices
• Experience with Epic and dictation software preferred
• Satisfactory security screening prior to employment
