Engineering Assistant (CO-OP 4-Month or 8-Month Term) - Fabrication
Price industries Limited is seeking an Engineering Assistant CO-OP Student from September to December or September to April within our Lasers Department.
Key Responsibilities
Support machine moves, setup, and removal in collaboration with contractors, maintenance, and internal teams
Assist with new product launches,
including cost analysis and production updates
Contribute to projects focused on improving safety, equipment, and manufacturing processes
Help plan, track, and execute small continuous improvement initiatives
Review and document manufacturing processes across departments and product lines
Support lean manufacturing activities such as 5S, waste reduction, and time studies
Assist with equipment selection, installation, and commissioning
Develop and update job instructions and training materials
Support shop floor layout updates using 2D CAD tools
Assist with basic machinery troubleshooting and testing as needed
Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and challenges
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Currently enrolled in a Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or Technology post-secondary program.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to read and create technical drawings.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Interest in manufacturing, automation, or process improvement.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Decisive and proactive in approach.
