This permanent role within the Public Works Department plays a key part in managing landfill compliance with regulations. The officer coordinates data, conducts inspections, and supports waste diversion activities. Additionally, assist in developing standard operating procedures and interact with public participation committees for transparency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare responses to compliance-related documentation
• Coordinate compliance databases and analytical results
• Inspect open and closed landfill sites for compliance




• Train staff on monitoring and compliance procedures
• Assist in preparation of environmental applications

Requirements:
• Diploma in Environmental Technology or similar
• At least 5 years of relevant municipal experience
• Eligible for OACETT designation
• Expertise in landfill compliance management
• Must hold valid Ontario Class “G” licence
