OLG is on the lookout for an experienced Director of Legal Services to enhance legal oversight and minimize risks within the organization. This impactful role combines strategic legal counsel with litigation management to protect OLG's interests.
As the Legal Services Director, you will report to the Senior Managing Counsel and play a pivotal role in advising on human resources, privacy, and litigation issues. Your extensive experience will enable you to lead workplace investigations, manage legal expenditures, and implement solid compliance standards that align with OLG's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage litigation, providing guidance to external counsel
• Offer strategic legal advice across various departments
• Monitor litigation management effectiveness and recommend changes
• Conduct training on legal issues for internal clients
• Liaise with government and tribunal bodies for compliance
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
• At least 8 years in legal practice, preferably in litigation
• Proven ability to influence outcomes in legal matters
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Experience with privacy legislation and regulatory compliance
