You will guide the development of this newly established program, enhancing planning education across Northern Ontario. Reporting directly to the Dean, your leadership will cultivate partnerships with Indigenous and local communities, ensuring curriculum meets modern challenges. Candidates should ideally hold a PhD in Planning with a strong background in teaching and administrative leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and lead the Community Planning Program's vision
• Direct curriculum and accreditation processes
• Engage with students, faculty,
and community planners
• Advance teaching and research excellence in planning
• Foster inclusion of Indigenous and diverse viewpoints
Requirements:
• PhD in Planning or related field
• Registered or eligible for Professional Planner designation
• Strong record in academic leadership and community service
• Commitment to reconciliation and inclusive planning practices
• Capability to work full-time from North Bay
