Take on the role of an Addictions Counsellor at Regina General Hospital, focusing on supporting individuals with substance use issues. This full time temporary position requires commitment to patient care and effective crisis management.
As part of the Mental Health Inpatient Support Services, you will assess patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and manage referrals to community resources. The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse groups is essential for delivering quality care to clients in crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments for substance use
• Develop effective treatment and crisis intervention plans
• Coordinate with community resources for patient referrals
• Maintain knowledge of MHAS and addiction services
• Participate as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or relevant Chemical Dependency diploma
• Understanding of mental health services and recovery models
• Strong written communication and computer abilities
• Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
• Experience with culturally diverse clients
