Make a lasting impact in the lives of homeless youth at Covenant House Vancouver. As a Youth Support Worker, you'll provide vital resources and relationships for those in crisis.
At Covenant House Vancouver, you'll work closely with vulnerable youth aged 16-24 in our Crisis Program. Your role includes assessing needs, supporting transitions to independence, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Building trusting relationships is essential to help these young individuals overcome their past trauma and find stability in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome youth and assess immediate needs for support
• Maintain relationships with at-risk individuals aged 16-24
• Guide youth through program orientation and intake
• Collaborate to create achievable goals and action plans
• Assist with community support access and activities
Requirements:
• Diploma/degree in social services or related field
• Preferred experience in youth support or similar roles
• First Aid & Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset
• Positive interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiar with challenges facing homeless youth
