Become a vital part of the educational experience as a Casual Education Assistant 2 in Prince George. You'll work directly with students, helping them during lessons and unstructured times.
This on-call position will allow you to assist with drill activities and foster independence among students with exceptional needs. You'll be monitoring safety, facilitating community access activities, and preparing materials while collaborating with teachers and staff. Background in behaviour management will enrich your interactions with students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with drill and practice sessions
• Observe and report student behaviour and progress
• Prepare and distribute instructional resources
• Support community activities and field trips
• Administer medication as designated by administration
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 education
• Relevant college/university courses in child behaviour
• One year of related experience with exceptional youth
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively
• Valid British Columbia driver’s license may be required
