NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is now accepting applications for a Consultant Cardiologist post due to a resignation. Candidates with an interest in electrophysiology and who hold CCT in Cardiology or CESR eligibility are preferred. This role provides a blend of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, promoting a collaborative care model.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver cardiology services at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
• Handle weekend on-call covering for CCU and general wards
• Facilitate outpatient clinics and patient consultations
• Educate and vet incoming GP referrals for cardiology
• Engage in Electrophysiology MDTs and consults
Requirements:
• Valid MRCP and GMC registration essential
• Evidence of higher specialist training in Cardiology
• Experience in UK-based training pathways preferred
• Preferred dual accreditation in General Internal Medicine
• Flexible availability for on-call commitments of 1 in 11
