Join Northland Power as a 2nd Class Shift Engineer at our North Battleford facility, focusing on maintenance and operational reliability in a leading energy generation site. This role is essential for sustaining our commitment to a cleaner energy future.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, your expertise will oversee the day-to-day operations of our 260-megawatt facility. You’ll guide and mentor assistant engineers, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and coordinate maintenance tasks. Your leadership will directly impact the efficiency and safety improvements within the plant, driving us toward our sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage shift operations and maintain detailed logs
• Supervise safety compliance and maintenance procedures
• Operate the gas and steam turbines using DCS technology
• Drive initiatives to enhance operational performance
• Oversee bulk chemical handling and safety protocols
Requirements:
• Saskatchewan 2nd Class Power Engineer license
• Experience in power generation or industrial facilities
• Robust interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of DCS operation and maintenance practices
• Flexibility for shift work and occasional overtime
