This position reports to the Manager, Accounting, and involves managing the monthly and quarterly GL close process effectively. You'll be responsible for validating trades, reconciling intercompany transactions, and analyzing profit margins. Solid collaboration and communication with various departments will ensure holistic financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform critical trade validation and data reconciliation
• Support inventory accounting and pricing assessments
• Analyze profitability and perform variance analysis




• Facilitate month-end and quarter-end close activities
• Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance are upheld

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Over 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading
• Familiarity with SQL and ETRM systems is beneficial
• Strong project management and detail-oriented skills
• Must work onsite in Calgary five days a week
