CARPENTER TRADES IIJob FunctionReports to the Maintenance Manager, or designatePerforms a variety of skilled and other tasks related to maintenance and repair of school district buildings, grounds and equipment under minimum supervisionPerforms carpentry assignments ranging from minor repairs through to skilled journeyman work of design and manufacture of a variety of itemsRepairs such items as doors, windows, floors, walls, ceilings, etc.Builds and/or assists in the construction of offices, classrooms, furniture, etc.May include the maintenance of work quality and accuracyMay involve the coordination of work, including the assignment of work and personnelAssists other trades as requiredOther related duties as requiredQualificationsGrade 12 or equivalentBC or Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry work (TQ)Valid B.C. driver’s licenseAbility to perform a standard of workmanship at a tradesman’s levelThorough and up-to-date knowledge of the standard practices, methods, materials,
