You will promote and maintain the health of individuals, family groups, communities, and populations, focusing on primary health care, prevention, protection, curative care, rehabilitation, and supportive or palliative care. You will provide professional guidance to community leaders and other healthcare team members, helping them acquire the knowledge and skills needed to serve First Nations partners and communities.About YouBachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education,



training and experience; successful completion of approved training in public health nursing or another specialty such as obstetrics or mental health.Two (2) years of nursing experience.Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM).Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.Remote Nurse in Charge must be Remote Certified (RNC) with BCCNM.Knowledge of and ability to apply First Nations cultural principles and protocols.Knowledge of trans‑cultural nursing concepts, including traditional, homeopathic or other healing practices used in the community.Working at FNHAMunicipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% after eligibility period.14 holidays including National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Easter Monday and Boxing Day.Access to group health benefits and a Health Care Spending Account through Canada Life on day 1 of employment.And more!Commitment to DiversityThe First Nations Health Authority is committed to respecting diversity within our workforce; preference will be given to individuals who identify as First Nations, Inuit, or Métis.
