We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.As a Senior Accounting Technician, Privately Held Business Group your responsibilities will include:Collaborating with colleagues to provide exceptional service to clients under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectorsPlanning, preparing and executing financial statement reviews and compilations, including budget and resource requirementsCompleting monthly and annual bookkeeping for clients (preparation and advisory) and assisting with payroll and HST calculationsPreparing various types of tax returns and responding to CRA requests for informationSupervising, coaching and providing timely feedback to junior engagement team membersContributing to the building of our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practicePreparing personal and corporate tax returns, partnership returns, trust returns and GST returnsPerforming reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts including: bank accounts, credit cards, lines of credit, loans, accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital assets and depreciationAssisting a broad range of privately held business clients with day to day accounting queriesWe are a high-performing team that supports each other; as a part of our team there will be additional ad‑hoc duties or assignments as requiredDoane Grant ThorntonIf you’re a bit like us, you’re driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking.

Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors— your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $59,000–$79,000 in Kelowna.
