Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a Safety and Environmental Coordinator to elevate our health and safety programs. Focus on compliance, training, and employee engagement in safety practices.

As part of our creative team, you will report to the Health and Safety Manager, assisting in the development of strong Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental initiatives. You'll conduct safety training, job hazard assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring everyone at the plant adheres to regulatory standards. Your commitment will help maintain a safe workplace for all employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Enhance visibility on the production floor to promote safety
• Facilitate training sessions on health and safety




• Analyze jobs to create effective safety procedures
• Investigate incidents with departments to find root causes
• Manage environmental compliance and develop reports

Requirements:
• Grade 12, with a preference for post-secondary education
• At least two years’ experience in a manufacturing context
• Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Solid communication and relationship-building skills
