Deep-Water Intake Group is seeking a Lead Surveyor for its transformative deep-water intake project at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station. Lead daily survey activities and ensure precise data management on this complex civil engineering undertaking.
As the Lead Surveyor, you will be responsible for supervising the survey team and managing monitoring systems critical for the secure refurbishment of nuclear infrastructure. Your expertise in tunnel construction surveying will support the collection, analysis, and reporting of monitoring data while fostering the development of team members. Effective communication and collaboration with engineering teams and clients will be central in maintaining the project's high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage monitoring teams effectively
• Ensure timely and accurate data collection
• Program tunnel guidance software with monitoring data
• Communicate daily monitoring findings to the engineering team
• Organize survey resources for extended works instructed by clients
Requirements:
• Degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or similar
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in heavy civil surveying
• Solid background in SCL tunneling methodologies
• Proven team management skills across locations
• Strong understanding of surveying software and equipment
