C-P Flexible Packaging is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers. With a primary focus on serving the food industry, C-P specializes in roll stock, pouches, re-sealable packaging and shrink sleeves.The Aurora plant is currently a 24/5 operation with 8 hours shift, rotating every two weeks. Days (7a-3p), Afternoons (3p-11p), Midnights (11p-7a), offering both afternoon and midnight shift premiums. Selected candidates must be able to work shift work.About The RoleWe are seeking a dedicatedSlitter Operatorat our plant inAURORAto play a key role in producing high-quality products that meet our customers’ specifications. We are looking for a safety-focused, detail-orientated individual with strong mechanical aptitude who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.Position SummaryThe Slitter Operator is responsible for setting up and operating slitting machines to convert materials into finished rolls according to customer and production specifications. This role requires attention to detail, strong measurement skills,



and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet quality and production targets.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate slitting equipment according to work orders and docket instructionsConfigure blade widths and tension settings to meet product specificationsLoad materials correctly and ensure proper machine operation throughout production runsWind finished material onto cores according to required unwind direction, slit width, and impressions per rollRemove waste from mill rolls and perform splices in accordance with customer requirementsInspect finished products and ensure defect-free material is prepared for customer deliveryProvide guidance and direction to the Slitter Helper to support efficient machine operationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentMeet production objectives while adapting to changing priorities and schedulesSkills And QualificationsStrong math and measurement skillsGood organizational and time-management abilitiesBasic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret production instructions and work ordersStrong communication and documentation skillsAbility to work independently while contributing to a team environmentFlexibility to adapt to changing production demandsPhysical RequirementsFrequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pullingFrequent bending and continuous back movementExtended periods of standing and walkingOccasional holding of materials weighing up to approximately 10-15 lbsWorking ConditionsManufacturing environment with concrete floorsExposure to production noise; appropriate PPE is requiredHot and humid indoor conditions during summer monthsReporting StructureThis position reports directly to theSlitting SupervisorWhat We OfferEmployer paid medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coveragePension plan with generous company matchBonus programPaid vacation and sick days#J-18808-Ljbffr
