Location:Burnaby, British Columbia, CA, V5G 4W3 – field‑based role requiring 4 days/week travel across Ontario and other provinces.What You’ll DoTheClinical Support Consultantis a field‑based role, responsible for providing Optometry Partners and Associate Optometrists with clinical support that drives clinical and commercial outcomes. The role includes operational coaching, clinical technology training/support, reinforcement of best practices, and implementation of a scalable clinical support model in your region.Key ResponsibilitiesAdapt, refine, and implement current store set‑up process relevant for each province, achieving launch timeframes and growth objectives.Develop a robust understanding of provincial regulations and communicate them clearly to stores and internal colleagues.Onboard and work closely with Optometry Partners, providing training on clinical equipment and software, influencing best practices, and ensuring adherence to billing processes.Ensure clinical teams are trained and confident in new equipment, and manage equipment sign‑off for new clinic openings with vendors.Develop and deliver workshops, store visits, and online learning interventions to optometrists that positively influence engagement and clinical activity.Coach the Retail teams on clinical operational aspects of the customer journey (e.G., pre‑test, transfer of care).Analyze and address underperformance in store KPIs, providing guidance and recognizing high performance.Support optometry clinics across Ontario, improving eye‑care delivery, clinical efficiency, and reputation through diary management and exam conversion.Lead clinical projects such as Tele‑Optometry, Myopia Management, and EMR development,
creating training tools and providing on‑site support across BC clinics.Collaborate with the Clinical Recruitment Manager to onboard new recruits effectively.What We’re Looking ForLicensed Optometrist with a Bachelor of Science (Optometry) or equivalent, authorized to practice in Canada.Minimum 5+ years of clinical optometry experience, ideally in a retail setting.Comfortable with frequent travel and a valid driver’s license in good standing.Minimum 2 years of experience facilitating or designing training for 5‑30 people.Strong relationship‑building and open communication skills.Excellent influencing, coaching, and mentoring abilities.Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.Team‑player with the ability to work autonomously.Compensation$106,000 – $115,000 base salary, plus quarterly bonus, profit sharing, and perks.4 weeks of vacation and 1 paid volunteer day.1 extra paid day off and an eye‑care voucher on your birthday.RRSP matching.Quarterly performance bonus.Profit‑sharing program.Healthcare spending account.Health and dental benefits effective the first day.Team and company social events.Equal Opportunity EmployerAt Specsavers, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
