Senior QE Automation Engineer (With Kafka Experience) Location: Toronto, ON Work Arrangement: Hybrid 4 Days Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent (FTE) Experience: 8+ Years Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior QE Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java and Selenium test automation .

The ideal candidate will have solid experience across the software testing lifecycle within Agile environments and exposure/experience in Kafka.

Candidates with experience in Lending Decisioning and FICO are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Java and Selenium .

Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Participate in all phases of the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) within Agile delivery teams.

Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.

Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts.

Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and quality risks.

Log, track, troubleshoot, and validate defects through resolution.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QE professionals.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement,



and retrospectives.

Support continuous improvement of automation frameworks, test coverage, and QA processes.

Contribute to testing activities involving event-driven architectures and Kafka , where applicable.

Provide test execution status, defect analysis, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Test Automation.

Strong hands-on experience with Java .

Robust hands-on experience with Selenium / Selenium Web

Driver .

Proven experience in test automation framework development and maintenance.

Strong understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) .

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

Strong defect management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka .

Nice to Have Experience testing Kafka-based applications, event-driven systems, messaging, or data flows.

Experience with API and integration testing.

Domain Experience Lending Decisioning experience is preferred. FICO experience is highly preferred.

Banking / Financial Services domain experience is an asset.
