What you will do
- Act as solution designer and technical lead for client implementations working closely with our services teams and with airline staff.
- Define technical details of plans to build, integrate, and implement our software.
- Define, design, and review development of all technical workstreams, including: ensuring alignment to enterprise architecture, planning and overseeing the successful deployment of infrastructure, planning all integration points, as well as coordinating data management and software deployment as required.
- Design and document integration data architecture for each customer environment, including all inbound and outbound data flows, and testing activities that should occur in each environment.
- Discuss integration architecture options with clients’ technical teams, advising them on potential approaches given their existing systems and architecture constraints.
- Create, compile, modify, and maintain technical documentation for the initial customer implementation and ongoing customer upgrades.
- Ensure appropriate cloud services and resources are provisioned based on clients’ needs and our assessment.
- Build a thorough understanding of our clients, the airline industry, clients’ challenges and common workflows.
- Provide client-specific technical specifications to internal teams, including Product Management and Development as appropriate.
- Work with our Delivery Managers on project schedules and scope.
- Work directly with Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering teams to continuously improve implementation framework.
- Assist leadership and teams to understand and deploy software solutions with clients, through technical briefings and on-site client meetings, with a heavy emphasis on meeting our high standard of responsiveness, support, and expertise.
- Assess data and security requirements and build necessary features into solution architecture.
- Identify trends and patterns during onboarding and post-go-live state,
suggesting improvements in our framework.
About You
- At least 5 – 8 years managing complex enterprise technology implementation projects, in solution architect, IT architect, or other relevant roles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software architecture, including cloud services, networking, APIs, security, software release cycles, and other related topics.
- Ability to understand, and communicate technical and business requirements, including understanding the respective importance and impact of successfully implementing and achieving client-specific business requirements/models.
- Expertise and experience in implementing multi-tenant and public/private cloud-based SaaS solutions.
- Expertise and experience in implementing on-site (customer-hosted) applications.
- Extensive leadership experience in implementing systems migration and integration to disparate platforms including data migration.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience with performance and scalability testing of enterprise distributed applications.
- Solid analytical skills, customer-centric skills, with a proven track record of rapidly learning a complex and multifaceted platform, as well as a new industry.
- Experience with industry-leading transactional messaging and event streaming platforms (e.g., IBM WebSphere MQ, Tibco, Azure Service Bus, Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hub).
- Experience with design and implementation of secure network connectivity (e.g., via VPN, MPLS, etc.).
- Must be interested in hands-on problem solving.
- Excellent written communication on technical topics.
- Ability to clearly and authoritatively present technical topics to both business and technical audiences at various levels of detail.
- Experience in the airline or travel industry is an asset but is not required.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and effectively influence direction and strategy.
- Good organizational skills.
