JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time
SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent is primarily responsible for building maintenance services and directs and organizes operations related to the facility's safety, repairs, grounds maintenance, equipment, and mechanical and electrical systems, while ensuring compliance with provincial occupational health and safety codes. The incumbent serves as a resource person for internal projects. They coordinate repair requests, engage specialized external service providers as needed, supervise the work, and provide follow-up to sector management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- College diploma in Building Engineering Technology (civil, electrical, or mechanical) or certification in a recognized trade (carpentry, plumbing, or electrical);
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the construction of public, institutional, commercial, or industrial buildings;
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in supervision, planning, and coordination/management of small projects;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Experience using preventive maintenance software, considered an asset;
- Experience in the operation, maintenance,
and construction of hospital facilities, considered an asset;
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other software used within the Network;
- Knowledge of MegaMation software considered an asset;
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles considered an asset;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Leadership, initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills;
- Valid driver's licence, good driving record, and availability to use their own vehicle in the performance of their duties;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to qualified ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
