About Pro Marketer

Pro Marketer is a Canadian performance marketing agency. We run paid media, Amazon, SEO, email, and creative for e-commerce brands and local businesses that care about one thing: what the marketing actually returns. We're a 15-person team of specialists - Meta, Google, Amazon, Klaviyo, SEO, design, video, and development - and we're growing fast.

We measure work in outcomes, not impressions.

The role

You will own social media and content for two client accounts: a direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand and a private school. Two completely different audiences, two different content languages, one standard of execution.

You are the owner of these accounts on social. You decide what gets made. You create a good portion of it yourself. You brief and coordinate our design and video team to produce the rest. You run the influencer program. And you're the person the client talks to every week.

If you want a role where you execute someone else's calendar, this isn't it. If you want to own two brands and be measured on what they produce, keep reading.

What you'll do

Social media management

- Own the content calendar and posting schedule for both accounts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
- Schedule and publish everything, on time, every week
- Manage community: comments, DMs, and engagement on both accounts
- Track performance and report on what's working

Research & content ideation

- Research each client's audience, competitors, and category - what are people actually responding to?
- Track platform trends and format shifts, and turn them into ideas we can produce this week
- Build content pillars and repeatable series formats instead of one-off posts
- Bring new content angles to every monthly planning session

Content creation

- Create content for clients: short-form video, photo, carousels, and captions
- Shoot simple content yourself on-location and on phone - quick, high-volume, native-feeling
- Write captions, hooks, and on-screen copy in each brand's voice

- Edit short-form video (CapCut or equivalent) for fast-turnaround pieces

Coordinating the team for shoots

- Plan shoot days: concept, shot list, location, talent, props, schedule
- Coordinate our designers and video editor - brief them clearly, set deadlines, review their output
- Run the shoot on the day and keep it on schedule
- Manage the pipeline from raw footage to published post

Influencer & creator management

- Source, vet, and shortlist creators for both accounts
- Handle outreach, negotiation, contracts, product seeding, and briefing
- Manage creators through delivery - make sure content lands on time and on brief
- Track creator performance and build a repeat roster of the ones that convert

Client meetings & communication

- Run weekly client meetings for both accounts - agenda, updates, approvals, next steps
- Present monthly performance reports: what we ran, what worked, what changes next month
- Translate client feedback into clear briefs for the internal team
- Flag problems early. We'd rather hear it Tuesday than at month-end.

What you'll be measured on

We'll agree specific targets in your first 30 days. What matters here:

- Engagement rate and follower growth on both accounts
- Content output - volume shipped per month, on schedule
- Video retention and hook rate on short-form
- For the e-commerce account: social-attributed revenue and conversion
- For the school account: inquiry and enrolment lead volume
- Client satisfaction and retention

What you need

Required

- 3+ years managing social media for brands, clients, or in an agency
- Examples of social content you've created - video, photo, or carousel. Show us your work.
- Comfortable shooting simple content on a phone and directing people who aren't comfortable on camera
- Comfortable running a client meeting and presenting results
- Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts,

including what each platform currently rewards
- Basic short-form editing - CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar
- Organized. You'll be coordinating designers, a video editor, creators, and two clients at once.
- Strong written and spoken English
- Based in the GTA with reliable transportation to client locations
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to have

- Agency background, or experience running more than one brand at a time
- E-commerce or DTC experience (Shopify, Amazon)
- Education, private school, or community marketing experience
- Influencer or creator program experience
- Paid social experience - building creative for Meta or TikTok ads
- Design skills (Canva, Figma, Lightroom)
- Your own camera gear

We do not require Canadian work experience. Experience gained anywhere counts.

What we offer

- $50,000 - $60,000 CAD base, based on experience
- Performance bonus up to $5,000/year tied to account results
- Hybrid schedule - 3 days in-office or on-location, 2 remote
- Paid time off and statutory holidays
- Equipment and software provided
- Budget for courses, certifications, and conferences
- Direct access to specialists in Meta, Google, Amazon, SEO, and development - you will learn performance marketing properly here
- A clear path to Senior Social Media Manager or Account Manager as we grow

How to apply

The application takes about 10 minutes. You'll be asked for:

1. Your resume
2. A link to your portfolio, or links to 3-5 pieces of social content you created
3. Links to 2 social accounts you've managed
4. Why you're the best candidate for this role - in your own words, 150 words or less. Tell us what you'd bring to these two accounts specifically. We read every one of these, and it's the answer that decides who we interview.

Applications without work samples will not be reviewed.

We review applications on a rolling basis and respond to every candidate we interview within 25 days of the final interview.

Pro Marketer is an equal chance employer. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and provide accommodation on request throughout the hiring process. We do not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants.
