Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Coordinator at Johnson Electric!
Location: Ancaster, Ontario, Canada (onsite)
Salary Range: $55K-65K annually
Vacancy Type: Existing position
As our next Manufacturing Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of supporting daily manufacturing operations, inventory management, project coordination, logistics, and continuous improvement activities. Your expertise in planning, scheduling, purchasing coordination, and operational support will be crucial in ensuring efficient project execution and manufacturing success.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Receive inventory and maintain organized storage locations.
- Maintain Min/Max inventory levels and inventory accuracy.
- Unload, inspect, receive, or reject inbound deliveries and manage shipping documentation.
- Kit electrical and mechanical components for project builds.
- Generate reports related to build capability and project status.
- Manage and allocate project leftover materials.
- Coordinate shipping arrangements for cell deliveries, supplier shipments, and interplant requests.
- Manage inventory for non-vendor-managed items, including ordering, tracking, transfers, and cycle counts.
- Support AGC operational and manufacturing requirements.
- Assist the manufacturing team with planning, scheduling, reporting, and administrative activities.
- Attend project-related meetings in person.
- Welcome visitors and respond to general inquiries.
- Maintain vendor-managed inventory and stocking programs.
- Lead or support cost-reduction and special improvement projects.
- Process damaged or incorrect materials and coordinate return shipments.
- Resolve inventory and delivery discrepancies.
- Produce and maintain operational reports and documentation.
- Serve as the primary contact for facilities, outside services, contractors, and office suppliers.
- Coordinate service calls and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
- College diploma or relevant work experience.
- Previous purchasing and/or project planning experience, preferably within the automotive industry supporting automation.
- Excellent negotiation skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate purchasing activities and inventory processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong sense of integrity, dependability, urgency, and results orientation.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Background in project management.
- Experience in automation manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Questica, CMS, and ERP systems.
- Experience coordinating logistics, shipping, and inventory control activities.
- Experience leading continuous improvement or cost-reduction initiatives.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
