JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Clinical Information System (CIS) Manager, the Intermediate Translator (English to French) specializing in digital health is responsible for translating specialized documents—including clinical and technical content—while adhering to CIS quality and productivity standards and meeting established deadlines. She contributes to enhancing the writing guide and terminology databases across medical, clinical, and technological fields. Her duties include reviewing work produced by colleagues or freelancers, providing team support in the reviewer's absence, and assisting with certain management tasks. The incumbent strictly adheres to the translation office's current standards, procedures, and guidelines. She ensures terminological and stylistic consistency with established organizational standards, particularly regarding clinical, technical, and institutional language. In this capacity, she collaborates closely with the translation office to validate practices, ensure the consistent application of style guides, and help harmonize communications across the Network.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in translation and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience or a University degree in a related field and minimum of five (5) years of translation experience;
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills may also be considered;
- Sustained interests in expanding one's knowledge;
- Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and other software applications used within the Network;
- Excellent mastery of both official languages, French and English, in oral and written forms, including the ability to adapt to different language registers;
- Customer service–focused approach;
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills;
- Autonomy, demonstrated organizational, work management, and self-directed work skills;
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making;
