We provide comprehensive clinical and peer support services, bridging gaps in the mental health system through a holistic, participant-driven model of care.Role ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments and provide individual counselingDeliver/facilitate groups in partnership with peer support workersProvide single-session counseling through the drop-in counseling programProvide one on one online counselling on Bean Bag Chat, Stella’s Place’s proprietary appProvide assistance to participants seeking navigation supports in the Stella’s Place Café using an interdisciplinary mental health approach alongside Peer Support WorkersProvide Brief Navigation CounsellingUtilize culturally responsive, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and antiracist approaches to ensure quality servicesEngage in participatory action research and codesignLead program development, implementation and improvementEngage in comprehensive communication within a multidisciplinary teamDevelop clinical assessments and progress notesEstablish and maintain productive working relationships with other community-based organizationsContribute to the use of various outcome measures for the program, ensuring a model of continuous quality improvement is maintainedParticipate in educational activities and initiatives to enhance the skill, experience, and knowledge of Stella’s Place staffAdditional duties as assignedQualifications & ExperienceMaster's Degree in Psychology,



Social Work or Counseling PsychologyRegistration with a respective College (e.G. College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), or College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO))2 - 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment settingExperience supporting clients in managing symptoms of Depression, Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety and other mental health concernsExperience providing clinical services to young adults 16 – 29 years of ageDemonstrated experience working in community mental health settingsDemonstrated experience working with diverse populations, utilizing culturally responsive trauma-informed, anti-racist and anti-oppressive approachesCompetenciesAbility to work independently and demonstrated experience working as part of a multidisciplinary teamKnowledge of delivering therapeutic modalities in a group settingAbility to utilize Client Information Management Systems, Personal Health Record management, and Health Information Custodian requirementsStrong clinical foundation, including skills/knowledge related to:Unique developmental challenges of transition-aged young adultsHolistic health (e.G., fitness, nutrition, primary health, somatics, and spirituality)Conducting referrals for community-based recovery supports (e.G., peer support, education, employment, transition coaching,



case management)Solid interpersonal and communication skillsPossess a strong understanding of how social conditions, structural inequalities, power, privilege, and systems of oppression contribute to experiences of trauma and mental health.Preferred AssetsTraining and qualification with other clinical treatment approaches including, but not limited to: DBT, CBT, MBCT, ACT, MBSR, IFS, and somatics.Experience using G Suite, Zoom, TREAT and excel is preferred.Bilingual (French/English)Hours & ReportingThis position reports to the Manager, Clinical & Recovery Services.
